Course Overview:

There are more than 2500 wildfires every year in BC. Successful fire fighting is based on knowing why a fire burns and what makes it spread.

Training objectives are to provide you with knowledge and understanding of the factors that determine the wild land fire environment and how to respond safely and effectively. First day is spent in the classroom, and second day is in the field. Fuller course description and supplies needed are available at the College of the Rockies.
