2018/2019 Entrance Bursaries

Career and Job Fair Entrance Award

The Career and Job Fair Entrance Award is for students entering into the Business Administration or Bachelor of Business Administration Program for the first time. Two awards of $1,500  will be presented to students entering directly from high school and two awards of $1,500 will be awarded to a mature student over 20 years of age entering college for the first time.

Fill in the application and submit to the Financial Assistance and Awards office by August 15, 2018

Chevron Canada Resources/Molnar Bursary

The Chevron Canada/Molnar Entrance Bursary is to be awarded to a female or male student in financial need entering into the Engineering Program at College of the Rockies with plans to continue to a degree program and pursue a career in engineering. Financial need and academic achievement may be considered. Preference will be given to a female or a single parent.

College of the Rockies Entrance Award for Licensed Practical Nursing

The College of the Rockies Entrance Award for Licensed Practical Nursing is for new students entering the Practical Nursing program in September.

College of the Rockies Entrance Awards for University Studies - Arts and Sciences is for new students entering University Studies in Arts or Sciences for  Fall 2018-19

newJM Fleming Entrance Bursary

This new $250 bursary is being offered this year to a mature student from the East or West Kootenay entering any Health Sciences program for the first time and has demonstrated financial need. Fill in the application now for Fall 2018!

Professional Cook Training Entrance Bursary- 2 awards of $500

The Professional Cook Training Entrance Bursary is for new students entering into the Professional Cook Training program - Cook 1 in September 2018 or January 2019.

Eligibility and How to Apply:

  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Be a first-year student entering Cook 1 of the Professional Cook Training program at College of the Rockies;
  • Submit a completed application form before August 15, 2018 for the fall semester or December 15 for the winter 2019 semester.

SIDIT Trades and Technology Awards

The COTR/SIDIT Trades and Technology Awards are from $250 to $1,000 for students in foundation trades programs at College of the Rockies. Fill in the separate application and submit to the Financial Aid and Awards office by September 15, 2018 for the fall semester.

The Kootenay Resident Entrance Bursaries are open to East or West Kootenay first-year students entering an eligible full-time program at College of the Rockies.  Kootenay Resident Entrance Bursaries, ranging from a $250 to $1000 tuition bursary are available to students who demonstrate financial need.
