Network Support TechnicianThe Network Support Technician (NST) program is offered as a one-year certificate or as part of a two year diploma.

exclamation icon NOTE: This program has been suspended for the 2012 academic year, but will return in September 2013.

The NST program helps students prepare for numerous computer industry certifications, such as:

  • CompTIA Security+,
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA),
  • Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS)
  • Server 2008,
  • Windows 7,
  • SQL Server, and
  • Exchange Server.

These MCTS certifications also provide many of the required components of a Microsoft Certified Information Technology Professional (MCITP) designation. Students also receive training in advanced web programming, Mac OS X, computer virtualization, and written communications.

Students can achieve a certificate recognizing the completion of the program, or an Administrative Studies diploma in Network Support which recognizes the completion of the Computer and Web Specialist program and the Network Support Technician program.
