Course Cost: From $249
This eight-hour course includes theory and practical application exercises to introduce the student to standards for fall protection which meet or exceed both Alberta and BC Occupational Health and Safety standards. This program teaches all core concepts of fall protection from a regulatory and standards perspective including: fall protection requirements for workers and employers, hierarchy of fall protection, methods of hazard identification, examining various fall protection and fall arrest systems, equipment care and maintenance and understanding the ABCs of a personal fall protection system. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of anchorages, body support and connectors, as well as an introduction to rescue basics, including self-rescue and assisted rescue. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a College of the Rockies CE Certificate of Completion, valid for three years.
