Course Overview
Acquire fundamental skills and understanding of the acrylic medium and learn to interpret painting as a series of basic shapes and planes created by light and shadow. In addition to discussing technical concepts like value, color theory, and paint application, we’ll also talk about some of the psychological aspects of learning to paint, such as giving ourselves permission to make mistakes and embracing the fact that there’s no right or wrong when it comes to expressing ourselves. Whether you are brand new to acrylic painting or have basic knowledge but want to step up your game, this course will meet your creative needs. By the end of this 3-week course, you will have painted your own still life and landscape.
