This class will have design ideas and enduring clothing construction techniques for those interested in exploring fashion yet concerned about the environmental impact of fast fashion. This course is accessible for those brand new to sewing to experienced tailors. Key topics include:
-How to identify and source sustainable, durable textiles and fabrics and alternatives to throwing away clothing made from these fabrics.
-Selection and design of lasting wearable art for yourself and others.
-Techniques involved in reusing fabrics and giving a second life to cherished clothing items.
