Creative Writing for Beginners

Course Overview

This course is for those who want to improve their creative writing skills. Whether it’s nature writing, memoir or letters to a friend, this course will help you hone your craft. Topics covered will include clear and engaging sentences, story structure, descriptive writing, organizing research, and finding ideas and inspiration. Over 5 sessions students will do short readings, practice their writing, and engage in class discussions. The course is designed for creative non-fiction, but the lessons are applicable to fiction as well. All levels welcome.
