SAFE RETURN TO CAMPUS: FALL 2021
On March 8, 2021, Dr. Bonnie Henry, the B.C. Provincial Health Officer, issued a new direction to all B.C. post-secondary institutions to prepare for a full return to on-campus education this September 2021.
The next few weeks will be busy as College of the Rockies will be working to identify how best to offer more face-to-face learning in the safest way possible. We will be ready to welcome you this fall 2021. Read College of the Rockies’ President Paul Vogt’s message to students.
Learning at the College will continue to be a little different for the spring 2021 semester, with most programs being held online. On-campus learning and a blended-approach of online and face-to-face will continue for programs which require hands-on learning, delivered under enhanced health and safety protocols.
Our campuses are open and will continue to operate in a different way. Students with a current student ID card can access the Library, Campus Store, Enrolment Services, some computer labs, and quiet study areas. The gym and weight room will also be available to support student health and wellbeing. Services like academic advising and counselling are being delivered virtually.
People who may be infected with COVID-19 should stay at home and not go to campus. This includes people who:
- Have or have had symptoms of COVID-19 in the past 10 days.
- Have travelled outside of Canada within the previous 14 days.
- Live with or have been in close contact to someone with COVID-19 (presumed or confirmed) within the past 14 days.
Let’s keep everyone on our campus safe from the spread of disease. Before you visit campus, please complete the COVID-19 self assessment at bc.thrive.health.
College of the Rockies supports equity and inclusion for all; racism or stigma associated with the COVID-19 pandemic will not be tolerated on our campuses or within our online spaces, in keeping with our existing policies.
