Once you've made the decision to choose College of the Rockies, becoming a student is a 4-step process:
Our Education Advisors are available to help you find the program that best fits your skills, aptitudes and personal goals. Be sure to check the admission requirements and/or prerequisites for your specific program or courses.
Apply online at EducationPlannerBC. We can also accept applications in person, by mail or by fax. Remember to include your $30.00 application fee and transcripts. Your application will be assessed by our Admissions office and you will receive a follow-up letter with instructions on how to proceed.
Be sure to note any important deadlines or additional requirements for your specific program.

This is what to expect after you've submitted your application.
You'll receive confirmation of acceptance from the College of the Rockies' Admissions Department.
You'll receive a letter in the mail telling you when Registration Packages will be mailed out. Make sure you let the Admissions Office know as soon as possible if your address has changed.
You'll receive a Registration package.
In the Registration package you will find information on how to select your courses and register either online (AccessCOTR), in person, by phone or fax. It's a good idea to consult with an educational advisor for help in choosing your courses.
Note: Online Registration
In order to register for courses in the Students area of AccessCOTR you will need to Login. If this is your first time using the online system, click "I'm new to AccessCOTR" to obtain a user name and password, before clicking on the Login link. You must have given your email address to the registration staff in order to receive your user name and password.
You'll pay the tuition. Pay the tuition and fees for your courses by the due date given to you in your registration package.
You'll attend Orientation. The first week of the fall term is known as Welcome Week, and is designed to help orient you to your program and life as a College of the Rockies student. On the first day of the term, your program will have an orientation session scheduled.

You'll Receive an Admissions package.
Complete all forms in the package and return it to the Admissions Office by the due date provided in your letter.
You'll Receive a Letter of Acceptance
Once you receive the official Letter of Acceptance, you'll need to confirm acceptance of your seat by either paying your tuition fees by the due date provided in your acceptance letter or by paying, a $200.00 non-refundable deposit to confirm acceptance of your seat. You risk losing your seat in the program if the required fees are not received by the due date.
Note: If the program is full you will receive a letter informing you of your position on the waitlist.
You'll Pay the Balance of your Tuition/Fees
Don't forget to pay the balance of your first semester's fees by the due date to avoid being deregistered from your program. Check and Pay your account balance at AccessCOTR.
You'll Attend the Orientation

On the first day of the term, your program will have an orientation session scheduled. Check the Welcome Week schedule (usually available online the week before classes begin) for the time and location of your session.
