This internship is being hosted by the Center where Adolescents Learn to Love and Serve (CALLS), which is in the town of Portsmouth, Dominica. CALLS is a grassroots development organization that is run predominantly by community volunteers with a full time Executive Officer. The organization serves as a safety net for at risk youth, focusing on skills development for at-risk youth between the ages of 14 and 25. CALLS offers courses in agriculture, small engine repair, fish processing, bar services, and furniture making. In addition to training, CALLS provides personal and career counselling for their students.
The Counselling Officer will work under the supervision of CALLS’ Executive Officer to support the planning and delivery of personal and career counselling for students.
