Course Overview
This course was developed by BC Forest Service Protection Branch and is facilitated by a certified instructor. Examines fire behaviour, fire line safety, tools & equipment, fundamentals of fire suppression and water delivery using portable pumps & gravity systems.
All workers fighting fires must be trained & then retrained annually in S100.
Students will demonstrate an understanding of fire behaviour fire line safety, tools & equipment, fundamentals of fire suppression and water delivery using portable pumps & gravity systems. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive BC Wildfire Service recognized certification.
Note: Students must have own transport as part of the course is on-site.
