Chyanne Pan cares for others. In fact, she’s known since she was very young that her life’s goal was to help those in need. She was thrilled when she found College of the Rockies, her local post-secondary institution, had a way for her achieve that goal. She was excited to enroll in, and complete, both the Human Service Worker and Child, Youth and Family Studies diplomas in just two years.

“I am from Cranbrook and wanted to stay close to my family but still be able to get the education I needed to achieve my goals,” she said. “The College provided all of that.”

While at the College, Chyanne was particularly impressed with the welcoming environment.

“Whether it was the instructors, staff, or other students, everyone was genuinely positive, welcoming, and willing to assist you,” she said.

Now employed as a Family Support Worker at Axis Family Resources, Chyanne feels her time at the College prepared her well for her career and would encourage others to seriously consider the College for their post-secondary education.

“With determination, supports, and a goal, anyone can achieve anything,” she said. “College of the Rockies represents this ideology with the services, programs, and assistance they provide as students work to achieve their career goals. I would recommend anyone consider the College, especially if they live locally.”
