Our men’s and women’s Avalanche volleyball teams are heading to Nanaimo today as both teams again qualified for the PACWEST Provincial Championships.
The PACWEST championship is being hosted by Vancouver Island University this year and features the top six men’s teams and the top six women’s teams in the Pacific Western Athletic Association. Both Avalanche teams finished the season in fourth place.
The women will start the tournament facing the 5th seed University of the Fraser Valley Cascades on Thursday, February 23. This will be a big test for the ladies as they defend their PACWEST championship title.
The men’s team also competes on Thursday – against the 5th seed Douglas College Royals.
All matches will be broadcast at www.pacwestbc.tv and the schedule will be posted on the Championship website.
