New Trades Training Facility

We’re growing! As you may have heard, thanks to investments from the Government of Canada, the Province of BC, Columbia Basin Trust, and the College – we are getting a brand new trades-training facility.

This is great news for our Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) and Electrical programs which are currently housed at our Gold Creek campus.  Not only will this new building be constructed with their programs in mind, ensuring they have facilities that accommodate their specific needs but students in these programs will now be located at the main campus and can feel more a part of the College community. Additional training space has also been earmarked for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic program, providing the opportunity for that program to continue to grow and improve.

Ground breaking is scheduled to take place in April and the new building is expected to welcome students in September 2018.  We will be posting periodic updates here on the progress of the building once construction has begun so be sure to keep checking back.  (RSS feed is now available for the blog too).

We are very excited for this project and believe it will help us to even better provide trades training that helps our students to reach their goals, secure careers in high-demand fields and to serve the needs of our communities.
