Christmas is the season of giving. This is something the Financial Services department at College of the Rockies continues to demonstrate.
For at least 15 years, they have shown their Christmas spirit by spearheading the College’s Christmas Giving campaign. Three families who have recently transitioned from Haven House and are starting over on their own are ‘adopted’ by the College. The Financial Services department puts out the request to the College community to bring in items from the families’ wish lists.
And the College community definitely responds to the call, bringing in loads of gifts (especially for the children), non-perishable food items and cash donations (which are used to purchase gifts from the wish lists that were not donated and to ensure each family has the fixings for a delicious Christmas dinner).
The Financial Service department knows this is something they could not do without the help of the greater College community and extend their sincere thanks for another year of amazing generosity.
We are all so lucky to work at the College. Our kind and giving staff are part of what makes us small college proud!
