With all the snow we got overnight, it’s a good thing our Trades training facility is on schedule. It is now protected from the weather while work continues inside. The cement flooring has been beautifully polished and framing of walls on the first floor is nearing completion – there are even door frames installed. Piping for sprinklers and gas lines is underway as is some preliminary work on the electrical as well.
Inside the building you can now see where classrooms will be located and look out onto the shop space. Along the backside of the building, the outside panels are beginning to be installed. All-in-all, the building is really coming along well and looking fantastic.
Construction is still on-track for the April 30 substantial completion deadline and will be an amazing new facility for our Industrial Mechanic and Electrical programs beginning in August 2018. Heavy Mechanical and other trades programs will also get to use this great space as needed. We can’t wait!
