Course Overview
Join local fly-fishing guide Rebecca Moore for this introductory course designed specifically for women with little or no fly-fishing experience who want to build confidence and develop the skills to begin fly fishing independently.
In a supportive and welcoming environment, participants will learn the fundamentals of fly fishing, including equipment selection, rod and reel setup, fly line, leaders and tippet, essential knots, fly selection, and basic casting techniques. The course also covers fishing licences and regulations, conservation and ethical fish handling, river safety, and the gear needed for a successful day on the water.
Following a brief classroom session, participants will apply their new skills through hands-on outdoor instruction, practicing rod setup, knot tying, casting, and basic fly fishing techniques with individual coaching.
By the end of the course, participants will have the knowledge and confidence to rig their equipment, tie essential knots, and continue developing their fly-fishing skills.
