College of the Rockies President and CEO, David Walls, is pleased to announce the appointment of Drew Miller as the new Executive Director, Human Resources. He replaces Sheila McDonald who retired in December.
Miller brings with him 15 years of experience in various human resources positions including the City of Cranbrook, Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science & Technology, and the University of Saskatchewan. His most recent position was Director of Human Resources and Finance at Independent Respiratory Services.
“I am looking forward to working with the HR and Payroll team, along with the broader College community,” says Miller. “The College has established itself as a leading employer in the Kootenays and as a great place to build an engaging and fulfilling career. I appreciate the opportunity to continue to support this goal. Our family has enjoyed our first five years in Cranbrook and expect to spend many more in this beautiful area we now call home.”
With a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan and holding both CPHR and CPA professional designations, Miller has been a valuable member of College of the Rockies’ Business Administration program Advisory Committee for three years. He resides in Cranbrook with his wife and three children.
“We are pleased to have Drew joining our executive team. I have no doubt his experience and background will be of great benefit to the College,” adds Walls. “We look forward to his contributions to our community.”
Miller began his new role on January 9, 2017.
