Creston Valley residents will have an opportunity to hear from local municipal election candidates during two All-Candidates Forums hosted by College of the Rockies Creston Campus.
On Monday, October 5, candidates for mayor and council will provide their perspectives on issues impacting the Town of Creston at the Creston Recreation Centre – Creston Room. Doors open at 5:45 p.m. with the forum beginning at 6:15 p.m.
The following evening, Tuesday, October 6 candidates for the Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) and school trustee positions will participate in a second forum. This event will also take place at the Creston Room at the Creston Recreation Centre. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the forum begins at 6:15 p.m.
Members of the public are invited to submit questions in advance by emailing creston@cotr.bc.ca. Questions may be submitted anonymously and must be received by noon on the day of each forum. Individuals who are unable to attend are also encouraged to submit questions.
The forums will give candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves and to respond to questions from both the audience and community members. Both events will be moderated by Rita Scott.
