Course Overview
This engaging summer camp introduces students to game creation, digital art, and beginner programming through hands-on learning and creative play. Campers design original characters, convert them into 3D and digital assets, and build their own video games while producing video content to highlight their creations. The day is thoughtfully balanced with screen-free team-building activities and energizing brain breaks.
Campers will:
- Design original characters and worlds
- Build playable video games using a visual coding system
- Learn core game mechanics (movement, scoring, interactions)
- Create gameplay videos to showcase their work
The program blends creativity and technology, helping students build confidence while learning future-ready digital skills. Requires beginner to intermediate comfort with tablets and interest in video games, drawing/art and technology.
