Foundations of Canadian Business
This course introduces students to the Canadian business environment and the core functions of modern organizations, including management, marketing, accounting, finance, operations, and human resources. Students examine Canada’s economic systems, regulatory frameworks, Indigenous business contexts, and the role of entrepreneurship in a diverse and changing economy. Emphasis is placed on understanding how businesses create value, respond to stakeholders, and operate responsibly within Canadian social, environmental, and competitive landscapes.
