Daycare class at playThe Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate offers students the essential knowledge and skills to provide high quality childcare and education in a variety of settings for children from birth to age 12. The Diploma program allows for specialization as either an Infant/Toddler Educator or a Special Needs Educator.

The ECE program is available online and/or in the classroom.

Our curriculum emphasizes:

  • interpersonal relationships between children, parents and other professionals,
  • and important career skills such as teamwork, critical thinking and leadership.

Theoretical and practical components of the program are integrated into each semester, providing students with the benefit of acquiring the essential theory in the classroom and applying his/her new knowledge directly in approved settings throughout the year.
