Fire Fighter Level 1

This course prepares entry level firefighters to perform the duties of Firefighter 1 in accordance with Chapter 6 of NFPA 1010, 2024 edition. Training focuses on safe operational performance as a team member in structural firefighting environments, including use of thermal protective clothing, SCBA, search and rescue, interior fire attack, ventilation, overhaul, property conservation, and water supply support functions.

Upon successful completion of this course students will have met the minimum job performance requirements for Fire Fighter 1. Candidates will qualify for ProBoard Fire Fighter 1 certification upon successful completion of all course requirements.

A combination of FIT 100A and FIT 100B results in equivalent certification to FIRE 127.
