BC Fire Fighter Minimum Training Standards - Interior
This course prepares firefighters to perform safely and effectively at the Interior Operations Firefighter level within the BC Structure Firefighter Minimum Training Standards. Building on Exterior Operations competencies, students develop the additional knowledge, skills, and operational awareness needed to participate in interior structural firefighting tasks as assigned by a Team Leader or Incident Commander and in accordance with the Incident Action Plan. Training emphasizes interior fire attack, search and rescue, overhaul, salvage, pre incident planning, firefighter self-rescue, Mayday procedures, and rapid intervention team duties so that graduates are ready to contribute confidently within their department’s declared interior service level.
