BC Fire Fighter Minimum Training Standards - Team Leader

This course prepares firefighters to perform confidently and safely in the Team Leader Interior role within the BC Structure Firefighter Minimum Training Standards. Building on Interior Operations Firefighter competencies, students develop the leadership, tactical, communication, and accountability skills needed to supervise interior firefighting tasks, support incident objectives, and guide crews in accordance with the Incident Action Plan. Emphasis is placed on task size up, action planning, team supervision, risk management, communications, Rapid Intervention Team awareness, and personnel accountability so that graduates are prepared to lead assigned interior operations effectively within their department’s declared service level.

Note: This course includes the requirements for Team Leader – Exterior as outlined in the BC Structure Firefighter Minimum Training Standards.
