This course is designed for students that have previously attempted the IP Red Seal Exam without success or are qualified to challenge the exam through Skilled TradesBC. Qualified participants will review the essential theoretical knowledge including blueprint reading, building codes and regulations, safety standards and protocols, and core carpentry skills. Exam preparation strategies include practice questions, and time management techniques to successfully challenge the Canadian Carpenter Interprovincial Red Seal Exam.
It is recommended that students bring a Sharp EL-520X calculator and copy of the BC Building Code or National Building Code with Part 9.
4th Edition Carpentry textbook by Vogt provided.
