Course Overview
This course is designed for operators who operate and maintain chlorine disinfection equipment for disinfection purposes.
Course topics include:
. Understand the physical and chemical properties of chlorine
. Understand how chlorine reacts with substances in water and how disinfection is achieved
. Understand how water quality can affect disinfection goals
. Understand how to conduct chlorine residual measurements and what the readings mean to operational goals
. Understand how to safely handle chlorine and hypochlorite products
Course material is supplemented by hands on use of chlorine equipment such as pumps and dosing equipment as well as demonstrations of all major components.
