Finding Your Family: Genealogy Workshop with the Fernie Museum

Course Overview

Looking for your long-lost relatives?  Join staff from the Fernie Museum and Archives for an informative hands-on genealogy workshop.  This course will cover genealogy basics with a focus on the Elk Valley, and free online resources including those available at the Fernie Museum and Archives.

Computers will be available, participants may bring their own laptops or devices to follow along, and/or a notebook to note down resources. For the first section we would be demonstrating the various resources that we use for genealogy requests, and the second we would help people with their specific projects.
