Course Overview
An entry-level four-day course, Wilderness Advanced First Aid (WAFA) offers comprehensive medical training designed for wilderness leaders and professionals venturing into remote and challenging environments, or for those working or recreating in the backcountry for periods of days to weeks. Manage medical emergencies when hospitals and rescue services are not available for an extensive time period. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a Wilderness Medical Associates International Wilderness Advanced First Aid certificate with adult CPR, valid for three years.
