Course Overview
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) is the most current and cutting-edge course of any first response medical training (urban or remote) in the world. WFR is a definitive wilderness course in medical training, leadership and critical thinking for outdoor, low-resource and remote professionals and leaders. This 80-hour program provides medical training for professional guides, outdoor educators, military, professional search and rescue team members and for those who travel and play in remote areas. Upon successful completion of this course, students receive a Wilderness Medical Associates International Wilderness First Responder certificate which is valid for three years and includes CPR taught to an equivalent Basic Life Support Level.
