January 2027


January 1

  • New Year’s Day – statutory holiday – College closed.

January 4

  • Orientation starts for new international students (Jan 4-5).
  • Trades foundation level and apprenticeship level students, please refer to the Trades Training Schedule for specific start and end dates for your program.

January 5

  • BaseCamp for new students: Seminars and Student Life activities for new students. New students must attend.
  • Start of classes for Office Administration program.      

January 6

  • Start of classes for all programs with semestered courses.
  • Start of classes for Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies programs, Certified Dental Assistant program, Practical Nursing program, and Health Care Assistant program.

January 20

  • Last day of late registration for Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses.
  • Last day to change courses or officially withdraw from Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses without dropped courses appearing on the permanent record.
  • Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses with a 75% refund of tuition fees. This refund applies to domestic students. International students refer to policy 2.2.6 Tuition Refunds for International Students.
  • Last day of late registration for Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses.
  •  Last day to change courses or officially withdraw from Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses without dropped courses appearing on the permanent record.
  •  Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses with a 75% refund of tuition fees. This refund applies to domestic students. International students refer to policy 2.2.6 Tuition Refunds for International Students.

January 22

  • Last day for clearing an ‘N’ grade assigned for Fall 2026 semestered courses.

February 2027


February 3

  • Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses with a 50% refund of tuition fees. This refund applies to domestic students. International students refer to policy 2.2.6 Tuition Refunds for International Students.
  • Last day to change course credit to Audit status for all programs with semestered courses.
  • Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses with a 50% refund of tuition fees. This refund applies to domestic students. International students refer to policy 2.2.6 Tuition Refunds for International Students.

February 15

  • Last day to submit Bachelor of Science in Nursing applications for the 2027-28 academic year.
  • BC Family Day – statutory holiday – College closed.

February 16

  • Spring/Reading Break (Feb 16-19). No day or evening classes except for Continuing Education courses and some Vocational and Trades programs.

February 28

  • Applications received on or before February 28 for entry into programs starting in Fall 2027 receive priority processing.

March 2027


March 12

  • Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses. A ‘W’ grade will normally not be assigned after this date. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal and will normally result in the assignment of an ‘F’ or ‘NCG’ grade.

March 15

  • Child, Youth and Family Studies Reading Break (Mar 15 – 19). No classes.

March 19

  • Last day to officially withdraw from Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses. A ‘W’ grade will normally not be assigned after this date. Non-attendance does not constitute withdrawal and will normally result in the assignment of an ‘F’ or ‘NCG’ grade.

March 22

  • UACE Spring/Reading Break (Mar 22-26). All UACE classrooms will close at each campus.

March 25

  • Last day of classes for Winter 2027 Certified Dental Assistant Program.

March 26

  • Good Friday – statutory holiday – College closed.

March 29

  • Easter Monday – College closed.

March 30

  • First day of classes for Spring 2027 Certified Dental Assistant Program.

April 2027


April 12

  • Early registration opens for continuing students in all programs with semestered courses for Fall 2027 and Winter and Spring 2028 semesters.

April 16

  • Last day of classes for Winter 2027 for all programs with semestered courses.
  • Last day of classes for Winter 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies programs.     
  • Tuition fees for Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses are due.

April 17

  • Examination period starts for the Winter 2027 semester for all programs with semestered courses. Do not arrange travel until after the examination period.

April 25

  • Examination period ends. Do not arrange travel until after the examination period.

April 26

  • Registration opens for new domestic students for all programs with semestered courses for the Fall 2027 and Winter and Spring 2028 semesters.
  • Start of classes for Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies programs.

April 29

  • Orientation starts for new international students (Apr 29-30).

May 2027


May 3

  • Start of Spring 2027 intersession (7.5 weeks) courses. Classes commence on various advertised dates during this period. Tuition fees are due.        
  • Start of co-op work placements for students in, Tourism Management (required) and Business, University Arts, Sciences and other programs (optional) Summer 2027.         
  • Last day of late registration for Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses.
  •  Last day to change courses or officially withdraw from Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses without dropped courses appearing on the permanent record.
  •  Last day to officially withdraw from Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies courses with a 75% refund of tuition fees. This refund applies to domestic students. International students refer to policy 2.2.6 Tuition Refunds for International Students.

May 10

June 4

  • Registration starts for new international students for all programs with semestered courses for the Fall 2027 and Winter 2028 semesters.

  • College Graduation Ceremony
  • Last day of classes for Office Administration program.
  • Last day of full-time UACE classes at all campuses before the summer programming.

June 15

  • Start of part-time UACE classes for summer. Delivery at Cranbrook, Fernie and Creston Campuses.

June 18

  • Last day of classes for Spring 2027 intersession (7.5 weeks) courses.
  • Last day of classes for Spring 2027 Child, Youth and Family Studies program.   

June 21

  • Examination period begins for the Spring intersession (7.5 weeks). Do not arrange travel until after the examination period.        

June 23

  • Examination period ends for the Spring intersession (7.5 weeks). Do not arrange travel until after the examination period.

June 25

  • Last day of classes for Spring 2027 Certified Dental Assistant program.

July 2027


July 1

  • Canada Day – statutory holiday – College closed.

August 2027


August 2

  • BC Day – statutory holiday – College closed.

August 6

  • Tuition fees due for Fall 2027 for all programs with semestered courses.
  • Tuition fee due dates for Child, Youth and Family Studies, Fire Services, Health, Office Administration, and Trades/Apprenticeship students are indicated on admission letters.

August 19

  • Last day classes for part-time UACE (summer).
