Student Housing Amenities

Wi-fi is provided throughout all student housing buildings for no additional charge. Information about connecting to the wi-fi will be sent to all incoming students. The wi-fi is managed by Shaw and they are able to be contacted for any concerns about disruptions to service.

All students living on campus are able to receive letters and packages. Students living in Purcell House each have an assigned mail box located at the front of the building where letters and small packages will be dropped off. If a package is too large for these mailboxes, Student Housing Services staff will email you to let you know you have received a package. You can pick up your package during office hours. Please make sure to bring your Student ID with you when picking up your package.

The laundry room for Purcell House is located on the first floor. Washers and dryers are coin operated and cost $1.25 each. Change is available from the Student Housing Services office during office hours. An ironing board is available for use in the laundry room. Irons can be signed out from the Student Housing Services office during office hours. Students are responsible for providing their own detergent.

There are two common rooms in Purcell House for students to use. They are each equipped with soft seating and tables. The common rooms are located on the second and fourth floors, and residents are encouraged to use them.

At this time, common rooms are only available by advance booking. Please email the Student Housing Coordinator to request a booking. housing@cotr.bc.ca
