Peer Mentorship
Mentors are knowledgeable and experienced students who receive training to provide peer support and help mentees make social connections.
Mentees are students who want some extra support adapting to life as a college student and help with making social connections.
The Peer Mentorship Program matches mentors with mentees to help students succeed through connection, support, and fun!
As participants in the program, Mentors have the opportunity to:
- Access training and professional development opportunities
- Participation recognition on your Experience Record
- Enhance one’s confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills
- Share one’s knowledge and experiences with others
- Enjoy the feeling of being productive and connected
- Meet a group of diverse people
- Build positive connections that can last a lifetime
As participants in the program, Mentees have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about the College and the community
- Connect with other students and enhance your college experience
- Interact with others at your comfort level or work to increase your comfort level if and when you are ready
- Build self-esteem, confidence and social skills
- Enhance self-motivation, self-discipline and goal setting
- Meet a group of diverse people
- Build positive connections that can last a lifetime
