Discipline: Business Administration – Accounting
In my more than 25 years in the accounting profession, there’s never been a job I’ve enjoyed more than teaching. It still doesn’t feel like work, even after seven years.
Most of my time in the accounting profession, before becoming an instructor, was spent in public practice but also included working for industry and government. That real-world experience allows me to share stories and bridge the gap between theory and practice in the classes I teach; and I dare to say, it makes them more fun.
I appreciate that College of the Rockies offers a full Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree that provides Accounting students with an opportunity to complete all their Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) pre-requisites right here in Cranbrook. This has allowed me to maintain connections with many previous students who have gone on to complete their CPA with a local firm.
