Discipline/Teaching Area: Business Management
I joined College of the Rockies in August, 2018 as a term faculty member in Business Management. I instruct in multiple Business Administration diplomas as per my areas of expertise: Principles of Management, Business Mathematics, Organizational Behaviour, Principles of Marketing, Business Law, Business Ethics, Small Business Management, and Entrepreneurship.
My professional background includes work in post-secondary education, corporate training (design, delivery, and management), and corporate employee development. I have international training delivery and facilitation experience in South Africa, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Afghanistan, Sudan, and Qatar in a variety of sectors: telecom, petroleum, financial, utilities, hotel and tourism, and local, territorial and federal governments.
My formal education includes a Bachelor of Commerce degree in statistics and business management from the University of Port Elizabeth and a Master of Business Administration degree in General Management from Heriot Watt University. I have also completed a variety of training courses in many different specialties including project management, quality management, and tertiary teaching.
Through my education and experience, I have developed a strong background in curriculum design and facilitation. I continue to work extensively in post-secondary education in Canada in both the private and public education sectors.
