The year is flying by and suddenly we’re welcoming students back for the start of a new semester. This is always the most exciting part of the year for me. After months of quiet hallways, we once again have the energy that having students on campus creates.
On Tuesday, September 8th we held our Orientation Day. While a lot of the day consists of sharing information our students need to start off their semester successfully, we also make sure to have some fun. This year we had our annual Fly on the Wall competition as well as our version of Jimmy Fallon’s Egg Russian Roulette (see photo).
The weather was more fall-like than we would have liked but the participants in the events had fun and won some prizes. Our celebrity guest Derek Kortschaga tried, without success, to defy gravity getting duct taped to the wall, and all students were welcomed to a free BBQ, hosted by President and CEO David Walls.
Classes officially started on Wednesday, September 9. We wish all of our students a successful semester! Thanks for being a part of our COTR family.
