Course Overview
This comprehensive 10-day course is for advanced first aid training. Topics covered include the priority action approach, airway & breathing emergencies, 2 rescuer adult CPR with AED, major bleeding, WSBC records and reports, small wound, soft tissue, and fracture management.
Successful completion requires 100% attendance, demonstrations of critical skills and a 70% pass mark on the written and practical exams. Please note these courses are physically demanding and will require prolonged kneeling, working in stooped positions, and rolling patients. Each class participant is required to function as attendant, helper and patient. Depending on the level and length of the course, these physical demands can become rigorous. Participants will be required to demonstrate specific skills according to an accepted standard before certification is issued.
