The demand for professionally trained birth doulas is increasing. Parents are recognizing the benefits of having an educated and supportive professional at their side during the childbirth process. Whether you have a passion for supporting families or wish to use this as a stepping stone to explore other perinatal professions, the Birth Doula Studies Program is the perfect choice!
Online theory for 12 weeks is the starting foundation of the program and covers three course modules:
The Doula as a Holistic Birth Practitioner The Doula during Childbirth The Baby and the business and you Practicum components take place (up to six months from the program start date) and are designed to supplement the knowledge gained from the online course modules. Practicum components also add experiential learning necessary for starting a career as a Birth Doula. Minimum age of 18 years old is a requirement to do the practicum components.
Credential earned upon successful completion: College of the Rockies, Birth Doula Studies Program – CE Certificate of Achievement.
