‘Make Climate a Class’ Challenge

April 22 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

a watercolour painting of earth in space

Join the CITL in recognizing Earth Day by exploring the idea of ‘Making Climate a Class’ – dedicating one future class session (regardless of discipline) to exploring connections between course topics and the climate crisis. During this session, participants will try out a range of different active learning strategies and explore lesson plan ideas, with the intention of possibly designing their own climate class. You don’t need to be a climate scientist to ‘make climate a class’, just an Earthly human with an interest in a sustainable future where students are the empowered leaders of change. This session engages Pathway 2: Decolonization of the College’s Pathways to Indigenization.

In-Person: 9-11am (KC131); or  Online: 12:00-1:30PM MT
