Born and raised in South Africa, I received undergraduate and graduate qualifications in Food & Nutrition, Consumer Guidance, and Post School Education in South Africa and an MBA in Hospitality Management from the United Kingdom.
I started my career at a University of Technology in South Africa as faculty member and later as Department Head. My first international opportunity was as Private Chef in New York City, NY and later returned to South Africa as Catering Manager at a boutique hotel in the Western Cape.
I relocated to Dubai, UAE and joined a Hospitality College as the Academic Manager to establish and oversee the Hospitality Management program launch as well as College operations including international academic and quality accreditation.
After settling in Canada, I continued my career in education as an instructor in Hospitality Management programs at both public and private colleges in BC.
I am passionate about the Hospitality Industry, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experiences with the “future” of our industry. I see myself as a student experience creator by creating an effective and fun learning environment.
