Ben Tippett, PhD

Discipline: Physics, Mathematics, Astronomy

I have been a full-time mathematics and physics instructor since 2012. After instructing at UBC Okanagan for 5 years, in the autumn of 2018 I began teaching physics, astronomy and mathematics at the College.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Honours Physics in 2003 at UBC, before earning my master’s degree in Physics from Queens in 2006, studying general relativity. I then went on to earn my doctoral degree in mathematics from UNB in 2011, where I studied general relativity and quantum gravity.

I live in a little house with my wife Bethany and, in my free time, enjoy cooking, eating, building time machines, podcasting, and looking at photos of rabbits on the internet.
