Kaitlin de Hoog, BA

I joined the College of the Rockies team in 2021 and I have enjoyed teaching the Activity Assistant Program ever since!

I am a graduate of the University of Alberta with a degree in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism. I have a passion for Therapeutic Recreation and have worked in a number of care settings to deliver meaningful recreation opportunities to those who find themselves experiencing a range of barriers related to purposeful leisure and well-being. I believe that meaningful recreation is an integral component of the human experience and that it can be used to increase one’s overall wellness and quality of life in countless ways. Therefore, I am thrilled to be teaching upcoming Activity Assistants the skills and knowledge they need to go out and facilitate purposeful recreation experiences for those who may not otherwise have the opportunity.
