Course Overview
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) trained employees will be equipped to recognize the signs and symptoms of mental health issues and provide help to a person developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis, including those related to substance use. The course will also work on reducing the stigma around mental illness and create mental wellness within the workplace. Participants will receive a handbook, a MHFA basic (12-hour) certificate of Participation issued by the Mental Health Commission of Canada and be registered as a Mental Health First Aid Responder with Mental Health Commission of Canada.
