Consolidated Practice 1 experience is designed to assist students to move forward with the health promoting focus of year one towards the focus on health challenges in year two. Students have opportunities to develop caring relationships with individuals and families, furthering the development of their assessment skills, some medication administration skills, and their understanding of health and health promotion. Students build confidence in all domains of nursing practice as they integrate knowledge from health and healing, applied health sciences, relational practice and professional practice courses.
