New acting manager, Michelle Taylor, started her new role on August 14th.

College of the Rockies Director, Continuing Education, Contract Training and Regional Campus Operations, Leah Bradish, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Taylor as Acting Manager for the Invermere campus. Taylor is filling the role of Doug Clovechok who is currently on leave to fulfill his duties as MLA.

Taylor has worked for the Invermere campus since 2012 in a variety of positions.  Her most recent role was as the Program Coordinator for Continuing Education and Contract Training.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with a minor in Recreation Administration.

Prior to joining the College, she was the owner of Columbia Valley Life Sports from 2004 to 2014 and, as a reporter for the Upper Columbia Pioneer for two years, became well acquainted with the Columbia Valley community.  Taylor also held other management positions, including with the Alberta Golf Association, and volunteered locally with minor hockey, soccer and the Heart of the Rockies Triathlon.

“We are excited to see Michelle take on this new role,” says Bradish. “As someone who is so familiar with the Invermere campus and its operations, she is in a unique position to build on the great work that is already being done there.  Her enthusiasm and knowledge will be great assets to the College and the Columbia Valley.”

Taylor officially moved into her new role on Monday, August 14th.
