College of the Rockies is offering most programs online for fall 2020, with enhanced safety protocols in place for programs that require some on-campus learning.

College of the Rockies is hosting its annual Open House on Thursday, November 7, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Cranbrook main campus.

“This event provides an opportunity for potential and current students, their parents, and adult learners, to find out about the exciting things happening at the College,” said Jennifer Inglis, College of the Rockies Recruitment Officer. “The Open House marks the official launch of our Alumni Network, and with our new student housing construction underway, it’s the perfect time to learn about on-campus housing.”

The Open House is an opportunity to learn about the College’s full-time academic, vocational, or trades training as well as short-term Continuing Education courses. Information about field schools and semesters abroad in regions like the Netherlands and Andorra will be available, and attendees can participate in interactive displays from the Trades, Nursing, Science, and Kinesiology departments.

“The options at College of the Rockies, and the benefits of coming to study here, are plentiful and that will be evident at the Open House,” said College President and CEO, David Walls. “Whatever path our students take – whether they are on their way to further education or looking for a program to jump-start a career – they can expect a high quality of education at an affordable tuition cost.”

The College’s $30 application fee will be waived for anyone who attends the Open House and fills out an application that day.

College partners including the University of Victoria, the University of Lethbridge, the Industry Training Authority (ITA), Ktunaxa Nation, Metis Nation of B.C., and WorkBC will also be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

Door prize draw boxes will be available with the opportunity to win a $500 tuition voucher and a $50 College gift card.
