College of the Rockies’ Invermere campus’ acting manager, Michelle Taylor, looks forward to welcoming the community to the May 14 Open House.

College of the Rockies’ Invermere campus will be hosting an Open House on Tuesday, May 14 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m.

“We’ve had an exciting year at the Invermere campus,” said Michelle Taylor, acting campus manager. “Our first year of our Hospitality Management diploma program has wrapped up, and we’ve held many successful Continuing Education courses covering a wide range of interests. This is a great opportunity for the community to see what we have been up to, and what exciting things are in the works.”

Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with current Hospitality Management students, learn about upcoming Continuing Education offerings, and find out about University Studies and Business courses that will now be available at the Invermere campus.

Throughout the event, Hospitality Management students will share videos and photos depicting field trips, special events, guest speakers and volunteer opportunities they participated in over the first year of their program. Weather permitting, a rousing game of cricket will wrap up the day’s events.

“We envision this Open House to be a fun social event where participants can mingle with each other and with College students and staff, while enjoying delicious appetizers and learning more about what the College has to offer,” Taylor added.
