This course equips students with the skills to strategically implement sustainable business practices across the value chain of a business. Focusing on the integration of sustainability in operations management, students will learn about sustainability metrics and theories, and how these are applied in real-world business scenarios. Techniques covered by the course include analyzing case studies on environmental accountability, green product design, and closed-loop supply chains. Students will be introduced to challenges operations managers face in adopting sustainable practices and the leadership skills necessary to drive change initiatives in sustainable operations. This course fosters a critical understanding of how businesses can enhance their operations while being environmentally and socially responsible.
